Felt-tip pen ink is applied to the underexposed, developed strips of photographic film in gestural, calligraphic-like movements. The scanner scans the brittle, bony and cracked forms and their shades, reversing positives and negatives. In the triptych, the edges of the image separate what previously belonged together – the filmig movement is broken down into its individual parts. The slight doublings and shifts and the repeated appearance of a
small speck of dust tell of the connecting material that underlies the three images.
